Hand-Pieced Quilt Top with Maggie Muth

Gather clothes you no longer wear or a worn tee towel or ugly pillowcase. Make a trip to the Goodwill Bins. Collect various light and dark fabrics. Forget about composition. It will happen by itself. Make yourself a nine patch lap quilt (or bigger.. or smaller!). Take the scraps of fabric with you and stitch wherever you go. It’s relaxing and fun and meditative. A second class will cover how to baste and bind and hand quilt the completed top. You have one month to get this done.

Students will learn about fabric types suitable for patchwork, various needles and threads, how to hand piece, how to enjoy the fun of making a quilt top by hand. This is not a paper piecing class.
