Coptic Stitch Journals with Sara Ottomano

In this two-hour workshop, sew your own fabric-covered, two-needle coptic stitch journal. Over the course of the class, you'll make one, 4 3/4" x 6 1/4" journal. But you will be given supplies that you can take home to continue making coptic stitch books. The books are great to use as a journal, notebook, or a gift for a friend.

This class will specifically teach:

• A two-needle coptic stitch that creates books that lay flat when opened. 

• How to create fabric covers for a bound book.

• How to find and use the grain of paper in bookbinding.

• How to use beeswax to aid in bookbinding.
